In common practice, a certain nation always has its both positive and negative natures. This also prevails to the Arab nation. The negative sides have been discussed earlier in the topic of The Social Conditions of Arab Civilisation before Islam.
- They were known to be true in their words (honest)
- They always showed respects to their guests
- They always kept their promises and never failed
- They were brave, tough, and died hard (hardly gave up), tended to be resistant from being put in low, both men and women
- They respected some holy months (months of Haram) although they did many bad deeds before
- They forbade themselves to marry their own mothers
- They used to gargle and clean their noses
- They used to do siwak (brushing teeth using siwak - bundle of young twigs or roots used to clean teeth), istinja (washing their genitals or anus with water after defecating or urinating), and lift out their armpit hair
- Little boys were circumcised as well as little girls; girls' were cut a little
- Thieves used to be punished with hand-cutting, at their right hand.
You can also read a story of how Muhammad was born and the miracles that happened during the birth giving.
